A local merge queue stops parallel Claude Code agents colliding
Run several Claude Code agents at once and they start racing each other: simultaneous pushes, duplicate heavy builds, flaky tests fighting over the same machine.
claude-code-merge-queue (opens in a new tab) fixes that locally. Each agent works in its own numbered git worktree (a "lane"), and a land command rebases and pushes through a first-in-first-out queue, so only one lane pushes at a time. build-lock -- <cmd> does the same for builds.
npm install --save-dev claude-code-merge-queue
npx claude-code-merge-queue init
init writes the config, a pre-push hook and the CLAUDE.md instructions for you.
Worth knowing, per its README: it only works on one machine, and your checkCommand is the only gate, because no human reviews what lands.
